RootMap · Liza Maya, MS, Licensed Nutritionist

You don't need forty-seven things to fix. You need to know which three matter.

A brain and metabolic health assessment for women in the perimenopause and menopause transition — built on your labs, your history, and your actual life. Not a symptom tracker. Not a protocol sold to ten thousand other women.

The assessment

Watch what happens

Sleep & circadian
Metabolic health
Cardiovascular risk
Strength & muscle
Nutrition
Stress & recovery
Hormonal transition
Cognitive health
Social connection
Lifestyle exposures

Ten domains assessed. Three prioritized. The rest wait their turn — on purpose.

Sound familiar

You've been told this is just your age.

It's a real transition with real physiology behind it — and most of what's happening is measurable.

Words that won't come when you need them

Awake at 3am, every night

Weight settling somewhere it never used to

Reading the same paragraph three times

Energy that runs out by two in the afternoon

A mood you don't recognize as yours

Bloodwork that came back "normal"

Quiet worry about your memory in twenty years

What makes this different

Most menopause tools ask how you feel. This one measures what's happening.

Symptom tracking is free and already on your phone. What it can't tell you is your fasting insulin, your ApoB, your ferritin, or your thyroid function — the markers that explain why you feel the way you do, and that shape your brain and heart health for the next thirty years.

I order those labs. Then I read them alongside everything else you've told me, and I tell you — in plain language — what's going on, what matters most for you, and what to do first.

What you receive

Your RootMap — one page, written for you

  • 01What I'm seeing — your whole picture in plain language, not a list of abnormal values
  • 02Where you stand across ten domains, and which ones are genuinely fine
  • 03Your three priorities, each with the reason it was chosen for you
  • 04What we're tracking, and when we check it
  • 05What we're deliberately not working on yet — and why it can wait
  • 06What to bring to your physician, written so you can hand them the page

The Upgrade · A 12-week brain & metabolic program

Assess. Prioritize. Measure. Reassess.

Four stages over twelve weeks. Named for the premise underneath all of it: this transition isn't the start of decline — it's the last window where your future brain and metabolic health are still genuinely changeable.

01

Comprehensive assessment

A structured intake covering your history, symptoms, sleep, metabolism, movement, stress, and where you are in the transition. Twenty minutes, and more thorough than any appointment you've had.

02

Laboratory testing

A brain and metabolic panel ordered through my practice — including markers most standard physicals skip, like fasting insulin, ApoB, and Lp(a). Drawn at a lab near you.

03

Your roadmap session

Ninety minutes together. I walk you through what the results mean, where the patterns connect, and the three things worth your attention first. You leave with your RootMap in writing.

04

Twelve weeks of support

Check-ins as you put it into practice, adjustments when life gets in the way, and a reassessment at the end — because the point is to find out whether it's working, not to assume it is.

Fit

This isn't for everyone, and I'd rather say so.

A good fit if you

  • Are in perimenopause or postmenopause and want to understand why
  • Want to know your numbers, not just track your symptoms
  • Care about your brain and heart twenty years from now
  • Are willing to change a small number of things properly
  • Are tired of contradictory advice from people selling something

Not a fit if you

  • Want a diagnosis or a prescription — that's your physician's role, and I'll tell you when to see them
  • Are looking for rapid weight loss above everything else
  • Want a supplement protocol without the assessment behind it
  • Aren't in a season where you can act on what we find

Who you'd be working with

I've spent years listening to women talk about their bodies.

Much of it from a treatment room, where women say things they don't say to their doctors — about their weight, their sleep, their memory, and how little of it has been taken seriously.

RootMap came out of that. Not from a belief that every number outside a reference range is a disease, and not from the idea that this stage is something to endure quietly. From something narrower and more useful: the menopause transition is the moment your future brain and metabolic health are still genuinely changeable — and almost nobody is helping women use it.

I work within my scope. When something needs a physician, I'll tell you clearly, and I'll send you in prepared.
